Corporate Board Director

The Ulkatcho First Nation (UFN) is accepting applications for an experienced Board Member to represent the Ulkatcho Group of Companies (UGoC) on the Board of Directors of the Lhoosk'uz – Ulkatcho Holdings Ltd. (LUHL) – a joint venture between the UGoC and the Lhoosk'uz Dene Nation (LDN)

The successful candidate will work closely with the Chairman of the UGoC on this external Board.

Applicant

• Should be a good communicator.
• Experience in the Mining Industry would be an asset.
• A keen interest in achieving positive long-term outcomes for the UFN and the UGoC
• Must have at least a minimum of ten years’ experience as a Board Member of a profitable company.
• Must have experience in developing and implementing strategic long-term goals & plans.
• Must not have a criminal record.

Role

• Attend monthly Teleconference and other Meetings as required.
• Attending In-person Meetings on a quarterly basis.
• Work with Management to prepare and approve the annual operating budget.
• Provide vision, input, and ability to implement the long-term strategic goals of UGoC.
• Will be required to serve on at least one Board Sub-Committee and attend those Meetings also.
• Attend UFN / LDN Community Meetings as required.
