Harm Reduction Worker
Position Summary
The Harm Reduction worker supports the Health & Wellness team with program deliverables including supporting Addictions, Mental Health, and Child & Youth needs and programs. The responsibilities include planning and implementing of programs to support vulnerable persons; of those with Mental Health those with Addiction.
Duties:
- Outreach and safety checks of vulnerable persons
- After hour and weekends work required
- Other duties as discussed with supervisor
Accountability
The worker will work under the supervision of the Ulkatcho First Nation, Health & Wellness Director. The individual in the position will work as a team member and will assume responsibility and accountability to adhere to the policies, procedures, and strategic principles of the Ulkatcho Nation. Client confidentiality for this position will be strictly adhered to and any violation of this policy will be held accountable for.
Hours:
Part Time, mostly after hours work with a wage dependent on certification and experience
Qualifications
- Diploma in a health or social service-related field
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Emotional control
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable.
- Ability to travel, must have drivers license and a vehicle.
- Persons with knowledge and/or certification of Addictions preferred.
